Looking Back a long ways...

Time to get out old folders (the paper kind!) It's so strange to look back at our first images for the comic (September 2013... I remember it like it was just yesterday...) here is Union Stock Yard in Chicago (now the slaughter houses are demolished and the land is razed and empty...)

the Chicago Theater...

and concept art for a back alley off Michigan Ave between the Du Sable Bridge and the Cloud Gate:

here is our first diagram for the titles: each week would add one new religious symbol (one for each letter in "Sons of God...)

and here's the first re-writing of "Ax Hacx" (which looks like "Sons of God" in the old language...) which shows up on back walls, peoples' tattoos, and on tshirts and ties throughout...

This is a big day: can you guess what this page is?
hmmm.
hmmmmmmnnnmmm.
hmmm la de da...

ok, I'll tell you: this is THE last page. The last page of the story. It's a goodbye, and goodbyes are always sad. We started this comic book back in September 2013, when Jojo was 12, and now he is 15 as we finish up the epilogue for the printers.
It's a big day.
